Marriage Week 13th–19th September 2026
Marriage Week / Family, Parenting and Marriage support: We have labelled support to marriages and parenting an ‘underutilised gateway for the gospel’. Read our longterm vision and statement of intent (made in 2021) here. We have partnered with half a dozen parenting / marriage ministries. Together we are pursuing the development of MarriageWeek.org.nz as a platform – among other coming initiatives to support churches, and churches together in their witness within each city and town.
Halloween Hope
’Halloween’ comes from ‘All Hallows Day Eve’.
It has THREE histories – while our ancestors chose Christianity because its light, love and charity really were better than the results of prior superstitions – the results of which seemed like darkness by comparison.

- CURRENT: Halloween messaging support – Named after ‘All Hallows Day Eve’, we are now launching HalloweenHope.nz – with (1) an animated children’s video, (2) printed ‘fold out poem’ for children to gift, (3) 3.50min history video from Dave, (4) and our ‘Unwrapping Halloween’ booklet for adults and teens. As a festival with a significant Christian history, there is more of an opportunity here that Light Parties (which are also wise and good).

- PLANNING AND VISION: 2026 and 2027 Ministry Plan and Budget: A two-year ministry plan is in process. The things you see being done here come from it. We have an intentional wider 8-year plan looking toward the bi-millennial celebrations of Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension in 2033.
- REPORTING: Annual Report – due out by October: This is compiled, and now going for graphic design (1 September). Our annual Audit is also now at its completion point.
- CURRENT: Youth initiative: Beyond (1) the Godtalk.nz with its 550 subscribers, we are participating in (2) the facilitation of an ongoing united conversation amongst our nation’s denominational youth reps and also leaders of 10 national youth outreach organisations. Activities are at ChristianYouthUnity.nz. A very telling and important national youth outreach survey was undertaken – the details providing evidence for needed changes – ChristianYouthUnity.nz/survey. Pray for a renewal of outreach vibrancy in NZ Christian youth ministries nationwide.
- CURRENT: NZ values history book – Dave has completed writing – editing being current – with graphic design and endorsements pending. We believe this to be a significant book, providing a basis for important cultural storyteling. The launch, and possible speaking tour, will likely take place after Easter 2027.
