A united effort to keep the celebration of CHRIST in CHRISTmas

Imagine the lead-up to December 25th, where every New Zealander, from young to old, encounters nativity scenes woven into the fabric of their daily journey.

Hope Project Christmas aspires to make CHRIST the CENTREPIECE at Christmas in the public view by encouraging individuals to display NATIVITIES wherever they can.

WHY?
Christmas traditions have changed, and nativities that used to show Christ’s importance are now less visible.
This simple idea to display nativities again will normalise them in the public view, highlight Jesusโ€™s significance at Christmas, influence negative perceptions, and engage public curiosity.
REQUEST FOR PASTORS & CHURCH LEADERS:
Share the vision and promote these ideas in your church. Just one minute over 2-3 Sundays this November and December can show how individual contributions lead to big impacts.
As the Church of Aotearoa, together we can shift culture and refocus on Christ.

  • Tauranga โ€” a โ€˜walk-throughโ€™ nativity theatrical called โ€˜The Road To Bethlehemโ€™ is hosted annually at the SDA Church, with a dozen churches uniting in the effort. Also a Hikoi is organised by the central churches from church to church.ย
