Halloween is more Christian than you’d think. There is a Christian story behind Halloween for God’s people to discover again – TO TELL IT – because Halloween is genuinely the celebration of the Saints who brought the LIGHT which dispelled that DARKNESS!
To avoid any misunderstanding, we want to be clear that we are not promoting participation in Halloween as a festival that celebrates darkness or in trick-or-treating, which has become a commercialised event. Instead, we encourage thoughtful efforts that highlight light over darkness. Halloween itself began as a Christian festival — All Hallows’ Eve — with a 1,400-year history, and there is an important cultural story to rediscover.
