Have you ever heard a seemingly unbelievable promise (like from a sales person — or a relative) that turned out to be true?

A look at the Bible

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Our Response

What can you take away from today’s tutorial and discussion? How could this affect the way you view suffering and evil — and even your difficult experiences in this life?

Prayer

Thanks again God for the way you have preserved the Bible in history. It’s mind-blowing to think that it’s possible 2000 years after Jesus to verify that the predictions of his life were written before he came along, and that the fulfillments that happened are also reliably recorded in history. You gifted us another layer of evidences to encourage us that our faith in you is not misplaced.  You have also demonstrated to us that you do indeed stand outside of plan — so when you say you know the future, we have reason to believe this. Thank you is all we can say. You are so gracious to us, helping our faith.

Amen.
